Steps you can take to help keep your money secure:

• Ensure your personal information is kept safe
• Change passwords regularly and don't use the same password for more than one purpose
• Never select passwords that represent your birth or name
• Never tell anyone your Personal Identification Number (PIN), Member Access Password (MAP) or any other password
• Check you transactions regularly and notify us if there are any transactions you don't recognise
• If you're expecting a new card, chequebook or statement and it doesn't arrive in a reasonable amount of time contact us immediately

Fraud

We use industry-standard encryption on our Internet Banking system and staff are constantly monitoring our members’ accounts for suspicious transactions. Our Visa cards are also embedded with a smart chip, providing an extra level of security. Unlike the magnetic strip on the back of cards, the microchip is virtually impossible to copy.

Unfortunately, fraudsters are always developing new ways of accessing people’s money. Six of the most common types of fraud are:
