How do they work?

  • A draft is like a bank cheque made out in a foreign currency.
  • It's a very easy and affordable way for you to make payments overseas. Drafts can be sent in the post and can be sent in a wide range of currencies.
  • They are also very safe as they can only be cashed by the person whose name is listed on the draft. Also, if it goes missing, Travelex can stop the payment and either refund the money or reissue.
  • To order a draft, you will need to give the name of the person it is going to, the amount, and the currency you want. Your draft should be ready to collect within 48 hours. Once you have your draft, just post it to the relevant person overseas and they can deposit it directly into their bank account.
