What am I covered for?

Insured sum up to the market value of the caravan

Replacement caravan if total loss is within 12 months of manufacture (including delivery and registration costs)

Towing costs

The cost (up to $500) of returning your caravan to your home if your vehicle is damaged in an accident and cannot be used (providing the accident happened more than 100km from your home)

Alternative accommodation ($100 per day for up to five days, applies only if the insured is on holiday)

Fusion in motors up to 10 years old


Optional Additional Cover:

Australia-wide or on-site cover available2

Contents and specified contents, including theft from a locked annex

Flood cover is considered upon request (subject to underwriting consideration)

  • What happens when I make a claim?

    Once your claim is lodged with CGU, they will allocate a claims consultant who will contact you with the next step. Your claims consultant will keep you informed about your claim's progress along the way.

    CGU will give you a claim number which will be your ongoing reference to the claim. You can use this reference for all claims enquiries when providing information to CGU on your claim.

    Some claims are simple, but others are more involved - either way, you can be sure that CGU will be working as quickly and efficiently as possible to process your claim.

  • How do I make an insurance claim?

    Making a claim is easy. Just call CGU on 13 24 80 and quote your policy number. You can make a claim 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
