We know that life can take unexpected turns and unplanned events can happen.

At People's Choice, we pride ourselves on doing our best to take care of our members. Some members may find themselves in financial difficulty, which can be caused by a number of situations:

  • injury or illness

  • natural disaster
  • reduced income
  • relationship separation

People's Choice may be able to offer Financial Hardship Assistance to those in need.

If you have Mortgage Repayment Insurance or Income Protection Insurance, you may be able to access this to help you maintain your repayments. Be sure to explore these options.

What information do you need?

As a part of assisting you through this difficult time we may need further information from you to understand your financial position and to provide the most appropriate assistance for your circumstances.

We may ask you to provide documentation such as:

  • A Statement of Financial Position summarising your current income, expenditure, assets and liabilities
  • A medical certificate
  • A copy of recent Council Rates and Building Insurance
  • Details of wages and other types of income received (Payslips, Centrelink Statement, Tenancy Agreement or Account Statements confirming the amounts received)
  • Bank statements
  • Sales Agency Agreement / Contract of Sale
  • Other supporting documents as required

We can also provide you with details of financial counselling service providers who can assist you with a range of services relating to your personal finances.
