People’s Choice Credit Union has won an outstanding six national awards for customer satisfaction, trust and service at the 2018 Mozo People’s Choice Awards, making it one of Australia’s most favoured financial institutions.
The awards, which are run by the financial comparison website Mozo, recognise the top five institutions among the country’s 148 financial providers based on the ratings of more than 5,100 customers.
Chief Executive Officer Steve Laidlaw said the awards highlighted the strengths and values of People’s Choice as a genuine alternative to the major banks.
“As a credit union, we can offer our members something the major banks can’t: a singular focus on meeting their needs, free from the shareholder/customer conflict inherent in the bigger banks,” Mr Laidlaw said.
“But more than that, our entire organisation has mobilised behind a strategy and operating model that puts our members’ best interests at the centre of every decision we take and every investment we make,” he said.
“These six Mozo awards – including back-to-back awards for Highly Trusted and Staff Friendliness – reflect our collective focus on better understanding our members’ lives so we can more effectively support them and their financial goals,” he said.
“There are many Australians who are disillusioned with the major banks, so acknowledgment that People’s Choice is trusted and recommended over other banks demonstrates that, despite a highly competitive market, we are standing out by building enduring, satisfying relationships with our members,” he said.
