People’s Choice is part of the industry wide initiative, New Payments Platform (NPP) – the faster way to send and receive money. This is great news for People’s Choice members, who can now send and receive Fast Payments between participating financial institutions and create a PayID.
Previously, it could take up to 72 hours to transfer payments between financial institutions, but with Fast Payments, it takes just minutes.
Osko is the payment service that makes it all happen! Osko facilitates Fast Payments between accounts at participating financial institutions.
You can make and receive Fast Payments by using BSB and Account Number or PayID.
PayID is convenient, as it links your account to easy to remember information. People’s Choice offers PayIDs linked to your mobile number or email address.
You can create your PayID securely through Internet Banking and the Mobile Banking App.
You no longer have to worry about wait times, weekends or business hours because payments are delivered in minutes. Fast and Free.
Your Fast Payments are delivered securely, while capturing the detailed records of your transaction. Fast Payments also brings the added security of PayID. You can see your payees PayID name, showing who you’re paying before you confirm the payment.
Not only are your payments fast, you can also input a detailed description of your payment with up to 280 characters.
PayID also makes sending and receiving payments easier and more convenient, using a mobile number or email address instead of spending time looking up BSB and Account Number.
You can request a payment sent in error to be returned to yourself. Contact our team directly in branch or by calling us on 13 11 82; we will then lodge a request with the receiving financial institution.
We are only able to send Fast Payments between participating financial institutions. Please check with your Financial Institution to see if your account is eligible for Fast Payments.

One of the benefits of Fast Payments is that it allows for a more detailed description of your transaction. When sending Fast Payments you will be able to type descriptions of up to 280 characters; if your payment cannot be processed as a Fast Payment you will only be able to have an 18 character description.
When making a Fast Payment the Osko logo will be displayed on the Payment Confirmation screen in Internet Banking and your Mobile Banking App. You will also be shown a message on the same screen advising when your payment is expected to be received.
You can also check the list of participating financial institutions to see if the receiving financial institution is listed.
To request a payment return you will need to contact a People’s Choice branch or call us on 13 11 82; we will then lodge a request with the receiving financial institution.
