Scam calls impersonating People's Choice
Important information for members.
We are aware that there has recently been an increase in scam activity impersonating the People's Choice fraud department. Please remember that People’s Choice will never contact you to transfer, send funds or transact on your account. If you're ever concerned, just hang up and give us a call back.

Changes to the way you bank with cheques
In 2023 it was announced that the Government had made the decision to phase out the use of cheque books in Australia by 2030. From 7 March 2024 replacement cheque books can no longer be ordered.
What does this mean for you?
From 7 March 2024, the below changes will take place:
• You will be unable to re-order replacement cheque books
• Existing cheque books and cheques issued must be presented before 24 May 2024; and
• After 24 May 2024, no cheques written from existing People’s Choice cheque books can be presented.
If you would like to cancel your cheque facility before 24 May 2024, please call us on 13 11 82 or visit a branch.
People’s Choice will continue to accept cheque deposits for other financial institutions cheques in branch, at People’s Choice Deposit ATM’s and Bank@Post where these services are offered.
What are your other payment options?
For accounts with single authorisation requirements, the alternative payment methods available are fast payments and PayID, electronic funds transfer, direct debit, BPAY® and debit card.
