  • Have an Australian or overseas mobile number noted on their membership in Internet Banking

How to download

1. Download the App from the Google Play Store (Android users) or App Store (Apple users) by searching ‘People’s Choice Credit Union’.

You are now ready to register for Secure Code.

For iOS users: During the registration process you will be presented with a checkbox to enable Touch ID. If you didn't enable Touch ID during registration, you can access this by tapping the hamburger menu icon in the top left corner, selecting 'Settings & Terms' then select Touch ID to enable this function

Troubleshooting: Please note that occasionally when we update the iOS App via Apple, existing App users may be prompted to register as a new user. To resolve this issue please delete the People's Choice Mobile Banking App as a secure device by tapping the hamburger menu icon in the top left corner, selecting 'Settings & Terms' then select 'Secure Devices', then delete the People's Choice Mobile Banking App from your phone. Go back to the App Store and reinstall the App (Version 3.0, Build 2). All functionality will be restored.

How to register for existing App users

1. Update to the latest version of the App and log in.
2. Review and accept the terms and conditions.

Your People’s Choice Mobile Banking App is now a secure registered device.

How to register for new App users

1. Enter your member number and Internet Banking password.
2. Enter a device name e.g. My iPhone 6 or John’s Samsung.
3. Enter a four digit security PIN, then confirm your PIN and select ‘Next’.
4. If this is the first time you have registered a device, a one time passcode will be sent to you via SMS. If you do not receive an SMS please call 13 11 82 to update your details and receive a one time passcode.
- If you are registering an extra device, generate a 6 digit Secure Code from your existing registered device/s.
5. Enter the one time passcode or 6 digit Secure Code.
6. Review and accept the terms and conditions.

Your People’s Choice Mobile Banking App is now a secure registered device.

Only one membership can be registered with the People's Choice App. Please refer to The Access App page for more information on how you can use this option for a second membership.

 

How to use 

Secure Code has replaced SMS Verification and Personal Icons to protect you and your accounts from fraud.

Your App will generate a push notification asking you to ‘approve’ or ‘deny’ the transaction when prompted in Internet Banking. You can still access your 6 digit Secure Code without access to Wifi or mobile data. Select 'Settings and Terms' then 'Secure Code' in the App’s menu.

You may be prompted for a Secure Code when you:

  • Update your contact information
  • Pay someone for the first time
  • Activate your card
  • Add a BPAY biller
  • At login when travelling

Note: Make sure you have Push Notifications enabled. This can be updated through your phone settings.

- Are unable or do not like to use the People's Choice App for online banking.

- Have an Australian or overseas mobile number noted on their membership in Internet Banking

-Share a smartphone or tablet (only one membership can be registered with the People's Choice App)

-Are travelling throughout Australia or overseas

How it is used

Your VIP Access App for Mobile will generate a push notification asking you to ‘approve’ or ‘deny’ the transaction when prompted in Internet Banking. You can still access your 6 digit Secure Code in the App’s menu under ‘Secure Code’ without access to Wifi or mobile data.

How to download

1. Go to your device’s relevant App Store (Google Play Store, Microsoft Store or the Apple Store)
2. Search for VIP Access from developer Symantec
3. Download

What you need to do now

1. Ensure you have downloaded the VIP Access App for Mobile
2. Ensure you have the correct mobile number updated on your membership within Internet Banking.
3. Make sure Push Notifications are enabled in your phone’s settings.

Remove

VIP Access for Windows and Mac Computers is for members who prefer to do their online banking on their personal computer, rather than a smartphone.

Suitable for members who

- Only use their personal computer to access Internet Banking.

- Do not use a smartphone for online banking.

How it is used

Your VIP Access icon on your personal computer will generate a 6 digit Secure Code when you click on it. You will need to provide a Secure Code only when prompted in Internet Banking.

How to download

1. Visit the Symantec website
https://idprotect.vip.symantec.com/
2. Select the applicable option (Download for Windows or Download for Mac)

 

What you need to do now

1. Ensure you have VIP Access downloaded to your personal computer.
2. Ensure you have the correct mobile number updated on your membership within Internet Banking.
